BIOGRAPHY OF SILENTSIREN. · HONG KONG · SINCE 2014
A QUIET REVOLUTION
IN TRADITION.
SILENTSIREN began with a refusal. While the market turned out the same wedding dress a thousand times over, Cat Chau chose to look backwards in order to move forwards: to the exquisite detail of 17th-century Baroque, the glamorous lines of the 1950s, the free spirit of the 1970s, each reworked on a modern cut. Founded in Hong Kong in Spring 2014, the house has never moved its needle. Every gown is still handmade by skilled Hong Kong tailors. It has since shown at Paris Fashion Week and London Fashion Week, and dressed brides who wanted nothing borrowed from a trend.
Romantic, yes. Obedient, never.
OUR MUSE
"TIMELESS" IS THE HEART
OF EVERYTHING WE MAKE.
Timeless has never meant safe. Our muse has always been a woman, not an era: the elegant gesture, the glamorous line, the way she holds a room without ever asking for it. We find her in the 1950s, in the films we grew up on, in the portraits of centuries past, and we dress her for the life she lives now.
We take the colours and fabric patterns of another time and cut them for the woman of this one. Not a costume. Not a copy. SILENTSIREN lives somewhere between history and modernism, and the perfect blend of the two is its soul.
"FORGET THE COMMERCIAL GOWN. EVERY WOMAN IS UNIQUE, AND SO SHOULD BE THE DRESS SHE MARRIES IN."
HANDMADE IN HONG KONG
Every SILENTSIREN gown passes through the hands of a Hong Kong master tailor, one who has spent decades perfecting the craft. We work this way because we want Hong Kong’s tailoring culture to live on, not just in memory, but in every seam. In those hands, old techniques become an aesthetic that is entirely our own. We hope brides here, and fashion lovers everywhere, will come to know what Hong Kong bridal and evening wear can be.
WE LOVE HONG KONG,
SO EVERY GOWN IS
100% MADE IN HONG KONG.
SILENTSIREN. WITH BRIDALS' WALKS BETWEEN TWO STYLES.

SILVER SCREEN
Vintage-inspired gowns born from the nostalgic films we love. From the Baroque gowns of period cinema to the glamour of 1950s Old Hollywood and the golden age of Hong Kong film, every scene becomes a dress in delicate French lace and silk, finished with a modern twist. For the bride who intends to be the leading lady, never an extra in her own film.

BOHO CHIC
Free-spirited and of the moment, carrying the season's contemporary details. For the modern bride who would rather dance barefoot than stand perfectly still.
